Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary: $3,720/month

• This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), non-exempt position.

The Fresno State Athletic Corporation provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, participation in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), and sick and vacation time. Under the general direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Football and Director of Recruiting Operations, the Assistant Director of Recruiting will assist in all aspects of recruiting and evaluating potential student athletes.

Key Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in standard office methods, procedures and practices to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area.
• Knowledge of office machines and computer software, including Microsoft Office, electronic mail, electronic business forms and the internet
• Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling, and the ability to draft accurate, professional business correspondence
• Demonstrated competence in understanding, interpreting and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas and instructions
• Budget and purchasing practices, policies and procedures.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Minimum two years’ experience working in a collegiate football office.

Supplemental Information

Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with California State University, Fresno. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment. The person holding this position is considered a "mandated reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

This position may be a "designated position" under the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
