Under the direction of the Long-Term Care (LTC) Director of Nursing (DON), the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a key leadership role in supporting clinical and operational excellence across the facility.
The ADON is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that promote high standards of nursing practice, staff competency, regulatory compliance, and resident satisfaction. This role also contributes to financial performance through effective resource management, reimbursement optimization, and cost control.
The ADON maintains 24-hour accountability for nursing operations and participates in organizational committees to drive quality and performance improvements.
