We are currently hiring a Assistant Director of Nursing f or a reputed nursing home in Dublin, Ireland. Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 39 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday to Friday Salary: DOE Responsibilities Support the Director of Nursing in the overall clinical management and day-to-day operation of the nursing home. Provide effective leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to nursing and healthcare teams, promoting high standards of professional practice. Ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and person-centred care that promotes residents' dignity, independence, choice, and quality of life. Oversee care planning, clinical documentation, risk management, incident reporting, and monitoring of resident outcomes. Support compliance with HIQA regulations, National Standards, legislation, NMBI requirements, and relevant clinical governance frameworks. Lead and participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, action plans, and the implementation and review of policies and procedures. Assist with staff supervision, performance management, training, development, recruitment, and effective roster and staffing management. Participate in clinical governance and senior management meetings, supporting effective communication and multidisciplinary collaboration. Promote a positive culture of continuous improvement, accountability, resident safety, and high-quality care across the service. Deputise for the Director of Nursing when required and undertake other duties appropriate to the role and operational needs of the nursing home. Requirements Current registration with NMBI as a Registered General Nurse. Minimum 3 years' experience at Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) level, or previous experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing. A QQI qualification in Leadership and Management or an equivalent recognised management qualification. Significant experience working within a nursing home or older persons care setting. Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations, National Standards, clinical governance, and relevant legislation. Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience, with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Strong commitment to resident safety, dignity, person-centred care, and continuous quality improvement. Valid permission to work in Ireland.
