The Loudoun County Department of Economic Development is currently seeking a talented, highly qualified executive to serve as Assistant Director in one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. The Assistant Director will serve on the Department’s Executive Team with the Executive Director and the Deputy Director. The Assistant Director will oversee the planning and execution of the business attraction and retention programs, with a special emphasis on new transit-oriented developments.
The Assistant Director’s primary responsibilities will include:
Additional management duties will include, but are not limited to, providing performance direction, feedback, mentoring, coaching and training to senior level program managers and assisting with performance plans and assessments; promoting a positive and productive work environment which creates a culture that values employees, teamwork and collaboration.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Master’s degree in business, Public Administration or department- related area. Five (5) years of directly related, progressively responsible work experience including three (3) years in a supervisory or management role preferably in a government setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. IEDC certification preferred.
Employment is contingent upon successful background checks to include criminal, credit, and driving record checks.
The Assistant Director should have experience with:
Travel, early morning, evening, and weekend work as required.
