As a key member of the Office of
Community Standards & Student Support, the Assistant Director combines
strong interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills to support
students, uphold the Student Code of Conduct, and advance the Mission of the
University and departmental goals.

individualized student support, and develop educational initiatives that
promote student learning, accountability, well-being, and success.
Responsibilities include reviewing reports, conducting investigations, meeting
with students, facilitating resolution processes, and implementing
learning-centered and restorative practices that encourage personal growth and

DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review, investigate, and adjudicate reported incidents
through the University's community standards process.
Conduct meetings with students to gather information,
address concerns, determine accountability, and develop educational outcomes.
Utilize restorative and developmental approaches to promote
student learning, responsibility, and community engagement.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and campus
partners to address student concerns and provide coordinated support.
Maintain accurate and confidential records related to
conduct matters, student support concerns, and intervention efforts.
Assist in the development, implementation, and assessment of
programs and initiatives that support student learning, well-being, and
community expectations.
Design and facilitate educational workshops, presentations,
and prevention programs for students, student organizations, and campus stakeholders.
Facilitate conflict coaching, mediation, and restorative
conversations to address interpersonal, group, and organizational disputes.
Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of
conduct board members and hearing panelists.
Support the administration of student behavioral
intervention and care processes, as appropriate.
Collaborate closely with the Center for Student Involvement
and other University departments to ensure coordinated responses to student
concerns, educational interventions, and student development initiatives.
Prepare reports, analyze trends, and assist with assessment
efforts to enhance departmental effectiveness and student outcomes.
Remain current on emerging issues, best practices, and legal
developments related to student conduct, student support, and higher education.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
of Community Standards & Student Support.

Minimum qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Education,
Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Student Affairs, or a related field is
required, along with a minimum of two years of progressively responsible
experience in student conduct, student affairs, student services, residential
life, conflict resolution, behavioral intervention, or a related area. Relevant
graduate assistantships and internship experiences may be considered.
A master's
degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel,
Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
