About the role

The Assistant Director of Banquets and Stewardingsupportsthe banquet operations to ensurethe successfulexecution of events while overseeing and managing all aspects of the stewarding department.

What you will do

  • Coordinate set-up requirements for all Banquet Event functions according to the banquet event order, communicate directly with group contacts, Catering Managers, and Conference Services Managers to ensure that all details of the function are carried out, ensure quality and timeliness of all food items, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience. 

  • Ensure the organization of all Stewarding storage areas as it pertains to all Food and Beverage Department’s China, Glass, Silverware, and all Banquet related equipment managed by the department.

  • Control operating expenses through effective budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control. This includes overseeing all China, Glass, and Silverware inventories that take place throughout the year.

  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

What you bring

  • Collegedegree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is required.

  • Two to three yearspreviousexperience in a supervisory or assistant manager position inBanquet operation.

  • Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating proceduresWorking knowledge isgenerally learnedon-the-job.

  • Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.

  • Requires ability tooperatecomputer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.

  • Requires reading, writing and oralproficiencyin the English language.
