Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote museum, exhibitions, collections, and Arts & Culture cultural programs in a holistic manner

  • Develop strategy in accordance with MGM’s mission with planning and programs to achieving objectives

  • Oversee the creation of corporate and public relations materials, reporting, publishing, or editing (e.g. research management report, production of marketing collaterals, press release, advertorial, corporate messages, e-newsletter, public speech) in both Chinese and English

  • Lead Arts & Cultural digital marketing strategies (social media, website, and email campaigns) to expand the Art & Culture’s and museum’s local and international visibility

  • Strengthen Arts & Culture’s and museum’s profile through strategic media engagement, government relations, and partnerships with state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and cultural institutions

  • Develop and implement external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote MGM identity and mission

  • Write analytical management reports, executive speeches, and presentations as well as high level company publications

  • Build a strong and relevant local network with local government bodies, communities, and media

  • Craft the protocols and scripts for Arts & Culture’s and Museum’s spokesperson for press briefings, interviews, and cross-sector collaborations Familiar with China and Macau’s tourism, hospitality, or cultural preservation sectors

  • Design and oversee large-scale events (exhibition launches, cultural festivals, artist residencies, symposiums, cultural education training program) that align with Arts & Culture’s mission and attract diverse audiences

  • Collaborate with curators, artists, and external partners to ensure seamless execution and alignment with brand values

  • Work with Brand Marketing, Public Relations, E-Commerce, and event professionals, fostering innovation and accountability

  • Coordinate and support other departments in needs of cultural collaborations or related projects

  • Monitor budgets for campaigns and events, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and ROI

  • Provide supports and training to the junior members of the team

Job Requirements

  • At least 8 years in marketing, event planning, marketing communications, or cultural institutions, with a proven track record in leading large-scale cultural events or marketing campaigns

  • Must have 3-5 years of professional experience in Mainland China

  • Experience collaborating with state-owned enterprises or government cultural bodies in China, and at least 3-5 years in a senior managerial role within arts, culture, events, or museum settings

  • A strategic leader with extensive experience in China's cultural sector, capable of managing high-impact campaigns

  • Degree holder, preferably in communications, journalism, public relations, events, marketing, hospitality, arts management, or related discipline, with experience in cultural or commercial environment with proactive attitude

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Business Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and Business English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus

  • Familiar with social media platforms across international and Chinese platforms

  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills

  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, a good team leader and team player

  • Strong time management and organization skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality under pressure

  • Strong attention to detail, able to work accurately while meeting tight timeline

  • Proficient computer knowledge required to manage all documents and file format efficiently

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekday and holidays
