Assistant Director Alumni Relations, McDonough School of Business – Georgetown University
The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations will develop and execute a strategy for alumni relations communications at the McDonough School of Business. Responsibilities include planning and executing alumni communications and coordinating with school colleagues to enhance alumni engagement, benefiting both alumni and the school’s initiatives.
The Assistant Director will play a role on a team that oversees events and communications with Alumni, either planned and executed or promoted by the school’s Office of Alumni Relations. This position is also responsible for the management of the school’s alumni data and ensuring the accuracy of the data and proper use by colleagues at the school.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Creating reports in Salesforce and campaigns and newsletters in MassMailer.
Ensuring communications comply with the written standards for the school.
Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on alumni engagement data.
Supporting the Alumni Relations team with initiatives and events, as needed.
Work Interactions
This position reports to the Director of Alumni Relations and Corporate Partnerships. This position serves the entire school as a central point of messaging for alumni, and fields requests from constituents who need to reach out to alumni, including but not limited to Career Services, Admissions, Program Offices, and more.
Required Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
1-3 years of experience in alumni relations and/or external affairs
Experience using Salesforce (or similar CRM) to search and maintain records, pull selective reports, build campaigns, send mass communications, etc.
Experience drafting communications, an excellent command of written English and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues throughout the organization, including alumni, other constituents and the public.
Flexibility and initiative, the ability to work independently.
Individual must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software and be able to work in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office software.
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications
Experience using MassMailer a plus.

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$41,926.00 - $65,090.00
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
