Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manages Accounts Receivables, ensures accuracy, researches discrepancies, tracks payments & prepares bank deposits
• Manages Accounts Payable, ensures accuracy, codes to correct GL accounts, pays timely & maintains vendor W-9 records
• Manages bi-weekly payroll processing, maintains timekeeping system, resolves discrepancies in pay & tracks employee changes
• Helps with corporate driven employee HR & benefits management & maintains up-to-date employee records
• Manages local bank accounts, including petty cash
• Timely closing of corporate defined month-end processes
• Helps with analyzing & preparing Fuel Tax Reports and Sales Tax Reports for suppliers and state agencies
• Supports budget and forecasting activities
• Assists in responding to inquiries from the Corporate accounting personnel regarding financial results and special reporting requests

Competencies

• 4 Year College Degree with Accounting Emphasis preferred.
• Strong character and integrity
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask, and meet required deadlines with accuracy and detail-orientation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Work well with others as well as independently
• Good technical skills
• Must be PC proficient. Experience with QuickBooks accounting system a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and PowerPoint required.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Accounting Director.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional environment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full-Time hourly position.

Travel

Minimum to no travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

• A degree is not required, but prior experience in Accounting or Bookkeeping is essential
• Prior FBO or Aviation experience is a plus, but not required
• Five years prior experience in the financial report/general ledger areas
