Reporting to and in support of the Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, the incumbent administers the day-to-day activities of the undergraduate research, scholarship, academic enrichment, and experiential learning programs and initiatives in the portfolio of Undergraduate Education within the Office of the Provost. This position manages administrative procedures for Undergraduate Education’s internal competitions and awards and related events, presentations, workshops, and activities.In addition, the incumbent provides critical initial student advising support for early research experiences, faculty mentor identification, and other academic engagement and experiential learning opportunities; is responsible for promoting programs and initiatives to support and expand all aspects of undergraduate research and creative scholarship across campus including design and delivery of information sessions and production of print and web materials; manages applications and database systems and coordinates application processes; evaluates and uses technology to improve efficiency and user experience; tracks program data and facilitates assessment; and disburses funding to student awardees. This position will work collaboratively within the Undergraduate Education portfolio, in particular the Sullivan Honors College, Career Center, Fellowships Advising, and Pre-Professional Health Advising, and across Temple’s campus to support and promote experiential learning and student success in support of Temple’s strategic plan. Other duties as assigned.Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in a research related field. (social or behavioral science, natural science, humanities)
  • At least two years of directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to both small and large groups.
  • Experience conducting scholarly research and an understanding of the value of experiential education.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Preferred Education and Experience
  • Terminal degree/candidacy.Required Education and Experience
  • Demonstrated familiarity with project management and implementation.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of administrators, faculty, and students.
  • General understanding of grants, budgets, and finance.
  • Proven ability with event planning and promotion.
  • Commitment to broadening participation in experiential learning and high-impact practices, particularly among students underrepresented in enrichment programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and to work toward competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
  • Demonstrated skills to run reports using databases, application, and student information systems.
