Position Overview:
The Assistant Director for Assignment Services provides strategic leadership and oversight for all housing occupancy management and marketing processes for the UMBC residential system. This position leads the administration of housing applications, licensing and contracting, assignments, waitlists, room changes, billing coordination, and accommodation management.
Reporting to the Director of Housing Services, the Assistant Director ensures accurate data management, compliance with university policies, and strong customer service for students and families throughout the housing lifecycle. As a member of the Housing Services leadership team, this position collaborates with campus partners to support student success, enrollment goals, and operational efficiency within a residential system housing approximately 4,000 students and generating more than $30 million in annual revenue.

Salary:
Salary: $77,000 - $87,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
