Job Description

[What the role is]

This role reports to the Director of Philanthropic Experience (PE) and shares collective responsibility to develop the team's strategy and vision. The head of the Donor Experience team will lead a dedicated team to drive the vision, leadership, event management and fund-raising strategies which will enable NCSS and Community Chest to achieve its philanthropic goals. The primary role is to oversee the implementation and evaluation of ComChest's signiatutr events and key engagement initiatives, and develop innovative strategies for events.

The individual may be assigned to lead other work areas that contribute to the Group's goals and objectives. These may include the planning and implementing of appreciation and engagement platforms/ activities for Community Chest's donors, partners and prospects. Examples of engagement platforms/activities may include small group luncheons and closeddoor sessions with key stakeholders.

[What you will be working on]

  • Manage and assign team members to perform philanthropic partnership and engagement functions to achieve fundraising targets through the organisation of events and engagement activities. Provide guidance to the team in conceptualising and implementing events and initiatives to engage and enhance donors' and stakeholders' experience and stewardship.
  • Leverage events and activities in events to deliver a positive experience to donors, partners and participants to grow giving for the social service sector through Community Chest.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the events and engagement activities; as well as to strengthen the engagement and relationship with stakeholders with regular contact/communication, follow-up and strong account servicing.
  • Strategise and acquire potential new donors, sponsors or partners in partnership with other Philanthropic Group officers.
  • Lead the implementation of assigned signature events and engagement platforms/activities, including providing Secretariat support to relevant Committee(s), actively keeping expense down through seeking of sponsorship/discounts (while complying with procurement
  • procedures) and driving donations with philanthropic partnership and engagement teams.
  • Propose new and creative events fund-raising strategies and approaches.
  • Manage, measure and be accountable for the annual KPIs set.
  • Pre-empt, manage the team's operational challenges and devise solutions.
  • Pre-empt, manage the team's human resources and devise solutions (including recruitment, retention, development etc). Ensure compliance of integrity in matters of people, processes, procurement and relationships (vendors/suppliers/partners etc).
  • Collaborate with all teams in Community Chest and divisions in NCSS, where relevant, to amplify and bring impact to core roles and duties assigned
  • Any other duties as assigned by Director that are aligned to Community Chest's purposes
