Salary Range: $62,920.00 - $62,920.00 Commission/yearRTR is offering a $2,500 Sign on Bonus to all New Full Time Hires!
Support and evaluate adults with developmental disabilities in a community based day setting. Work in conjunction with the Program Director to plan and coordinate the day-to-day services and activities as defined and consistent with DDS regulations and accreditation body. Learn the skills necessary to supervise up to 4 staff under the guidance of the Program Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Provide oversight of the program in the absence of the Program Director.
- You may be asked to provide on-the-job training and supervision to individuals in a 1:1 or group format at community-based, business locations, and RTR OPTS centers. Any of these sites, including SEP community sites businesses, may be equipped with surveillance cameras and you may be videotaped during your time there.
- Work in conjunction with the Program Director to prepare reports in accordance with state and agency requirements.
- Participate in the interview and hiring procedures for the program as directed.
- Serve as a liaison between RTR and the community representing a positive and proactive attitude at all times.
- Serve as an appropriate role model for individuals and other program staff establishing behavioral limits in a positive consistent manner and in accordance with behavioral plans.
- Provide transportation to community activities as needed.
- Attend and participate in meetings concerning individuals as needed or directed.
- Adhere to all program routines and schedules.
- Assist and support individuals as needed with both in-house and community activities.
- Maintain a current MAP certification and administer medication to program members as needed.
- Obtain and maintain Safety Care certification.
- Implement all behavioral plan interventions as assigned; these behavioral interventions may include physical restraint..
- Assist the Program Director in the implementation of the PBS program model.
- Provide training and education to staff relating to individuals and program needs.
- Conduct daily/weekly staff meetings in the absence of Program Director.
- After training and under the guidance of the Program Director, supervise up to 4 staff as appropriate.
- Cooperate and interact with co-workers, clients, volunteers, and funders in a collaborative, courteous, empathic, and professional manner. Demonstrate willingness and ability to be part of team effort.
- Adhere to the schedules and needs of RTR and the schedules and needs of individuals under supervision.
- Adhere to agency safety standards.
- Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.
- Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
- Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff and Board beliefs.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of professional human service experience subsequent to a bachelor's degree in human service or a related field. One year experience must be in a program that supports intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
- Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
- Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write advanced reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
