Contribute to design process to deliver efficient and economical design to illustrate value through bid and construction phase to satisfy client scope and technical requirements.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Integral part of construction team and work closely with Design Manager, Preconstruction, Business Development, and Project Manager to contribute to fundamental design process from inception throughout execution until completion.
  • Communicate status of daily design tasks and activities with project stakeholders to progress design and identify challenges for design solutions. between Designers, Construction team and client representatives.
  • Coordinate with TEG Design Specialists for appropriate and timely reviews of milestone documents and for critical design concerns
  • Conduct thorough review of design documents, specifications, and construction and shop drawings generated by design partners and subcontractors to ensure design meets clients’ Basis of Design.
  • Manage timely delivery and completeness of design documents.
  • Contribute to relevant subcontractor contractual language relating to design.
  • Participate in design reviews and identify opportunities to optimize design to improve constructability and detect risks.
  • Understand and utilize continuous improvement methodology to minimize costs for and speeds delivery of design preparation.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be 110,000.00 - 165,000.00 USD annualized.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering or Architecture and minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering or Design Project Management, including Construction Administration portion of Engineering and Design Management or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Previous industry experience working in Design firm, a plus
  • Previous design-build design and construction experience, a plus
  • Estimating and Scheduling experience
  • Think in highly structured manner along all design disciplines with creativity to develop specialized solutions and anticipate potential challenges and opportunities
  • Cross-functional knowledge of key engineering disciplines (e.g., Architectural, Structural, MEP/ HVAC) and relevant trades
  • Limited travel
