We have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Design Manager located in Des Moines, IA

How you will contribute:

This is a great opportunity to leverage your design talent and leadership skills as you lead, mentor & direct the design team on various fire protection system projects. As the Assistant Design Manager, you will exercise your attention to detail while designing automatic sprinkler systems using AutoSPRINK. You will ensure the quality of submittal drawings, calculations, monitor the workload of other designers, and maintain technical certifications to obtain necessary permits and certificates. In conjunction with Labor Leadership and Sales Project Managers, you will plan, organize and execute projects through activities such as; on-site field surveys, generating hydraulic calculations, submitting drawings to obtain the required building permits, 3D BIM coordination using NavisWorks, preparing stock lists, ensuring the projects adhere to the proposed timeline, and preparing project close-out, operation and maintenance documents. You will be challenged to excel beyond your expectations in a team-oriented, results driven environment.

What you need to qualify:

You will have a minimum of two years of prior relevant experience working with fire sprinkler design. Leadership experience is preferred. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service, maintaining cutting edge industry knowledge and being able to execute tasks with a great amount of detail will be crucial.
