ASSISTANT COORDINATOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY

12-Month Position

JOB GOAL: Assists the Coordinator of Public Safety with the daily safety and security operations throughout the school district.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma Required.
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the area of school safety and security,preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children.
• Excellent speaking, written and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of training and supervising security staff.
• Knowledge of communications/dispatch systems and I.D. equipment and procedures.
• Possesses good human relations, communications and motivational skills.
• Possesses a valid New Jersey driver's license.
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
• Successfully completes the required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
