Do you have a Catering Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent?
We currently have a permanent vacancy in Anstruther at Ladywalk House Care Home.
Assistant Cook - 30 hours per week as required Monday to Friday on a 52- week contract. This post involves working on a 3-week rota working 5 days from 7.
Duties will include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food, along with understanding the requirements of special diets.
Duties may include serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, it's surround and equipment.
Completion of basic bookwork and electronic returns may also be required.
You will earn a competitive salary of £25,604.23 pro-rataand have access to a range of benefits, including:
£13.64 per hour, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

The Person
Do you have Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent?
Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.
You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
