STATEMENT OF THE JOB:
Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and Controller, the Assistant Controller directs, assists, completes, and supports accounting functions. An effective Assistant Controller has excellent knowledge of accounting principles. They are an organized professional with a great eye for detail and can multi-task. Their goal is to keep the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. The Assistant Controller will implement, maintain, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls that are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures. The Assistant Controller assists in coordinating annual GAAP audits as well as the 990’s. The Assistant Controller is responsible for analytical data, to ensure the integrity of the financial statements. They establish and maintain collaborative and strategic alliance with senior management. The Assistant Controller closely supervise and train staff to provide consistent, accurate, and timely reports.
