The Assistant Contract Manager supports the Senior Contracts Manager in the effective administration, negotiation, and management of the CP04 contract (E&M Systems, Track Works, and Depot Equipment) and its associated subcontracts. The role involves hands-on management of commercial correspondences, claim reviews, subcontractor coordination, and compliance with FIDIC-based procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Contracts Manager in all post-contract administration matters for the main contract and major subcontracts.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize contractual letters, notices, claims, variations, and other project correspondences.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with contract conditions, specifications, and procedures.
  • Analyze subcontractor claims and variations, verify entitlement, and prepare recommendations.
  • Participate in monthly progress and commercial meetings with the Engineer, Employer, and subcontractors.
  • Review interim payment applications (IPAs) and payment certificates (IPCs) for accuracy and contractual compliance.
  • Assist in maintaining the contractual correspondence register, claim tracking, and document filing system.
  • Support dispute resolution processes, including documentation for Dispute Board or arbitration.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members on contract interpretation and correspondence drafting.
