About The Team
The Group Compliance Function’s aim is to proactively support Willis Towers Watson to generate sustainable value, helping the company to deliver good client outcomes, manage its conduct, protect against regulatory risk, and to maintain strong regulatory relationships. We aim to be a trusted partner to the business. Within Willis Towers Watson’s internal control system, we form part of the Second Line of Defense, as a function independent from daily business activities. We monitor compliance with regulatory obligations and implemented controls within the Compliance Program. The Compliance team leads the management and co-ordination of the requirements of our global regulators.
The role includes collating business cases, organizing meetings based on member availability, and capturing key discussions, challenges, and action items. It also involves coordinating with leaders for smooth meeting execution, maintaining action logs with follow-ups, and ensuring proper documentation for a complete audit trail.
The responsibilities include reviewing and approving documentation, along with managing centralized activities. The role requires providing global support for monitoring activities, which involves understanding various work types, monitoring mechanisms, and engaging with global stakeholders. It also involves administering the Global Compliance Intranet page, ensuring that relevant and up-to-date information is uploaded, regularly monitoring the content, and coordinating necessary approvals for all updates.
Team Scope / restrictions
The team provides global coordination and monitoring support (meeting administration, documentation, trackers, and reporting) to enable Compliance Business Partners (CBPs) and leadership decision-making. The team does not set policy or make final risk/compliance decisions; it operates within defined timelines, quality standards, and approved workflows, escalating incidents and obtaining required approvals through the appropriate leaders.
