About the role
The Assistant Company Secretary plays a crucial role in supporting the Company Secretary and the Board, ensuring compliance with the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, company constitutions, and internal governance structures. This role involves managing shareholder enquiries, monitoring share activities, and liaising with the share registrar to ensure proper registry maintenance, including the management of dividends, dividend reinvestment plans, and share issues.
Additionally, you will assist with corporate actions such as capital raisings, subsidiary maintenance and support general administrative tasks, including invoice reviews. The position also involves contributing to the production of the annual report, including the Corporate Governance Statement and the Directors' Report. Reporting to the Company Secretary, this is an essential governance role that provides and administrative support to facilitate the smooth operation of the company and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
