Assistant Coaching - Winter Sports

East High School & Prairie Winds Middle School

Positions are available for Winter Sport Coaches with Mankato East Athletics beginning October 2026. These positions are for approximately 2 hours per day/5 days per week (after school).

Spring sports:

• Adapted Floor Hockey, CI (Co-ed)
• Alpine ski (Boys & Girls)
• Basketball (Boys & Girls)
• Gymnastics (Girls)
• Hockey (Boys & Girls)
• Swim & Dive (Boys)
• Wrestling (Boys & Girls)

Summary of Duties:

• Prepare successful practice and performance plans while encouraging student participation, establishing team rapport, and motivating participants to achieve maximum potential.
• Be an example of sportsmanship
• Maintain equipment and inventory of all equipment, including uniforms.
• Supervise all areas of participation, including but not limited to: gyms, fields, locker rooms, buses, pools, etc.
• Work collaboratively with other coaching staff, Activities Director, families, and community resources.
• Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations of the MSHSL

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous participation and/or coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.

Qualifications Required:

Must meet MSHSL and Board guidelines

Rate of Pay:

$1890 to $4900 depending on level, activity, and experience.
