Salary Range: $22.00 - $22.00 Hourly

An Athletic Coach at TVT Community Day School plays a vital role in advancing the school’s commitment to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. TVT’s athletic program is designed to develop positive role models, leaders, and responsible citizens on and off the playing fields.
Guided by a belief in the educational value of interscholastic athletics, the coach supports student-athletes in learning essential life lessons that contribute to their overall growth and well-being. Through intentional instruction, mentorship, and modeling of sportsmanship and character, the Athletic Coach fosters teamwork, resilience, accountability, and respect while promoting physical development and a positive athletic experience for all students.Essential Responsibilities
- Support the planning, organization, and coordination of the school’s interscholastic athletics program under the direction of the Head Coach and Athletic Director
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, tournaments, and team travel to ensure safety, accountability, and appropriate conduct
- Provide instruction and coaching in fundamental and advanced athletic skills appropriate to the sport and student development level
- Observe student-athletes during practices and conditioning sessions to identify, correct, and improve techniques and performance
- Instruct, model, and enforce all health, safety, and school regulations related to athletic participation
- Assist in the development and implementation of physical conditioning and training programs that support athlete performance and injury prevention
- Collaborate with administrators, athletic trainers, and coaching staff to monitor athletic-related injuries and follow established protocols for injury reporting, treatment, and return-to-play standards
- Assist in assessing team strengths, individual abilities, and opponent capabilities to support game preparation and strategy
- Work professionally and respectfully with school leadership, families, community members, officials, and media representatives as appropriate
- Support the Athletic Director and coaching staff in ensuring student-athletes meet academic eligibility requirements for interscholastic participation
- Assist with the timely submission of athletic contest results and required information to the Athletic Director, school platforms, and designated athletic reporting systems (e.g., MaxPreps, OC Varsity)
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the athletic program and school mission
