Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The AMP ACEs project is a community-based research initiative designed to evaluate whether a telephone-based Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) screening and care coordination model delivered through 211LA increases referrals to, and receipt of, ACEs-related services. The Health Services Research (HSR) Group is dedicated to advancing health and equity for children, families, and communities in Los Angeles and beyond through scientific innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community partnership. HSR faculty conduct research with systems-level impact on child health in areas including childhood adversity, children with medical complexity, early childhood development, education and school systems, housing and health, obesity prevention, poverty, primary care and healthcare systems, vaccine delivery and uptake, and youth incarceration.

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRC) will provide research and administrative support for the AMP ACEs project and other emerging studies within the HSR Group. Under the supervision of the Project Manager and Principal Investigator (PI), the ACRC will assist with day-to-day study operations, including participant recruitment and data collection, coordination of study activities, and maintenance of regulatory compliance. The ACRC will also contribute to meeting project deliverables and timelines, supporting dissemination efforts, and ensuring adherence to institutional and sponsor guidelines. The successful candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, have reliable transportation for travel throughout the region, and be available to work evenings and weekends as required by project activities.

This is a limited position that may convert to career.

Salary Range: $30.74 – 49.46 Hourly



Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Current, valid California Driver's License
  • Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy. Ability to concentrate and focus on a work environment that contains distracting stimuli and competing deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively establish rapport, building collaborative relationships, and communicate complex concepts and ideas in an easy-to-understand manner in both English and Spanish.
  • Skills sufficient to solve problems and identify solutions and the ability to respond to situations in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changing job demands and priorities; work flexible hours, including some weekend and evening hours, to accommodate research deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential material information with judgement and discretion.
  • Ability to be flexible in handling work delegated by more than one individual.
  • Typing and computer skill/ability including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry. Ability to navigate numerous software programs and applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel, to perform daily tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Skill in coordinating information transfer among multiple constituents.
  • Availability to work in more than one environment, travelling to various clinic sites, meetings, conferences, etc.
  • A learning and professional growth mentality so that new software tools, systems, and processes can be adopted quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to carry lab equipment, up to 15lbs, including scales, and Stadiometer.

Preferred:

  • 1 year experience in a Health Care Setting
