Job Description
Pay - Additional $6,000 to base salary
Supports therapy leadership in clinic operations, treatment coordination, and regulatory compliance. Assists in overseeing Article 16 clinic operations, including coordination of patient care, staffing support, documentation compliance, and clinical workflow. Provides direct therapy services within the scope of PT/OT licensure while ensuring adherence to best practice standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services within PT/OT scope of practice
- Implement treatment plans and complete compliant documentation
- Coordinate prescribed therapies across disciplines and providers
- Ensure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up services
- Ensure completion of treatment plans, physician orders, and required assessments
- Assist with admission and discharge planning processes
- Support clinic workflow, scheduling, and staff coverage
- Monitor and support staff productivity and efficiency
- Improve patient flow and service accessibility
- Participate in the intake process and presentation of clinic services to prospective clients
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Resolve missing or incomplete clinical documentation
- Maintain audit-ready records in accordance with regulatory standards
- Monitor record-keeping and billing processes to support accurate reimbursement
- Track quality indicators and support implementation of best practices
- Ensure completion and updates of Developmental Disabilities profiles
- Communicate effectively with providers, families, and referral sources
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care
- Advocate for program participants and their needs
- Assist in development of annual staffing plans and operating budgets
- Support monitoring of productivity and fiscal performance metrics
- Promote a positive work environment aligned with agency values, mission, and culture
- Assist with onboarding and integration of new staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) in New York State.
- Clinic experience preferred
- Knowledge of Article 16 regulations preferred
- Valid NYS Driver’s License; travel required
