
Under the direction of the City Attorney, this position provides legal services to and on behalf of the City.

We value a healthy work-life balance and currently offer a 40-hour workweek with flexible hours and a hybrid schedule of three days remote and two days on-site, in accordance with the City’s policy and subject to supervisor’s approval. On-site work is primarily at Austin City Hall, 301 W. 2nd Street, Austin 78701, or at other locations designated by a supervisor.
Assistant City Attorney IV $104,300.00 - $134,000.00 annually
Assistant City Attorney V $112,600.00 - $144,700.00 annually

The Open Government / Ethics and Compliance division provides legal advice to City employees and officials related to compliance with requirements in ethics, open meetings, public information, elections and more. This position is intended to work on issues primarily related to open records, open meetings, and ethics compliance.
