The Learning Experience - West

Pay Range: $15–$17 per hour

We are looking for a caring, energetic, and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team!

What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with lead and fellow preschool teachers to implement our proprietary curriculum and engaging learning activities.
• Creating fun, hands-on experiences that encourage children to learn, play, explore, and develop new skills.
• Building positive relationships with children and supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Following all applicable health, safety, and quality standards and maintaining compliance with state licensing requirements.
• Working collaboratively with your teaching team to create a positive and supportive workplace.
• Communicating with parents and families about their child’s daily experiences, accomplishments, milestones, and adventures.
• Using available communication tools, including mobile apps and personal conversations, to keep families connected to their child’s learning experience.
• Supporting classroom routines, transitions, meals, activities, and other daily care needs.
• Providing attentive supervision and helping ensure the safety and well-being of every child.

• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with coworkers and families.
• Is eager to learn and grow as an early childhood educator.
• Has a high school diploma or GED; early childhood education coursework is preferred.
• Meets all applicable state licensing requirements for the position.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus

• Previous experience working as an Assistant Preschool Teacher or in an early childhood setting.
• Current Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and First Aid training.
• Completed MiRegistry coursework.
