Pritchard Industries is seeking a skilled and dedicated A ssistant Chief Engineer to join our team. Responsible for the assisting in the technical operations of the facility management group to provide facilities and equipment maintenance in customer’s facilities. The Assistant Chief Engineer will supervise the activities of Core's Mechanical and Electrical groups and outside contractors. This individual will also ensure that facility maintenance services are being provided in a proper and effective manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supports and assist in the daily activities of Core's Technical Operations groups and the outside contractors
• Assist in the Overseeing of plant maintenance, operations activities and building renovations
• Ensures the proper operation of the Preventive Maintenance Program
• Ensures that maintenance work orders are completed in a timely manner
• Presides at weekly scheduling meetings, reconciles the maintenance requirements of individual areas so facility maintenance needs are met
• Ensures that all work performed under his/her supervision is done in a timely and cost effective manner according to the applicable codes
• Assists the customers manager of Facility Services with cost savings procedures and formation of budgets and reports
• Ensures that all facilities under his/her responsibility are safe and comply with all Federal, State and Local Laws
• Ensures environmental procedures and issues are being implemented through the direction of the customer’s environmental specialist representative. Direct the daily activities of all Core's Facility groups and the outside contractors
• Assists in reviewing and engineering, with the customer representative(s), any plans or specifications for additional maintenance, construction and renovations
• Ensures all parking lots, walkways, fire hydrants, etc. will be cleared of snow and other debris to ensure safe and easy access into and exiting facilities

Additional Duties:
• Assist in the management of engineering documentation and make recommendations to revise operating procedures
• Assist in the training for the on site building technicians
• Troubleshoot and correct complex HVAC, and engineering problems throughout the building
• Perform water treatment testing and analysis on all open and closed water systems
• Perform steam system, chiller, turbine, and other mechanical repairs
• Available 24/7 for emergency calls by cell phone
• Handle personnel issues in a confidential and professional manner
• Cover the Watch Engineer’s shift when necessary
• Maintain critical spare parts inventories and purchase materials for the engineering department

Typical Requirement:
• One to three years of Facility Management experience in a Power Plant Operations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
