We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Assistant Chief Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa - Handwritten Collection. In this pivotal role, you will support the Director of Engineering & Chief Engineer in overseeing all technical operations and maintenance activities across our facility. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of building systems, coordinating maintenance teams, and driving continuous improvements in our technical infrastructure.

  • Monitor and coordinate daily technical service operations across all facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, automation, and infrastructure components
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems, including the Building Management System (BMS), adjusting settings according to seasonal conditions and senior management directives
  • Coordinate engineering department activities and supervise maintenance teams to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards
  • Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance checks, identify system faults, and ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Coordinate and supervise work performed by external contractors, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and project specifications
  • Oversee renovation and technical project works from planning through completion
  • Conduct periodic testing, maintenance, and inspections of fire alarm, safety, and firefighting systems to ensure continuous operational readiness
  • Track and manage work orders through technical software systems, resolve deficiencies, and prepare detailed reports
  • Identify material requirements, manage inventory levels, and place necessary orders in a timely manner
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and technical issues, demonstrating resilience and decisive problem-solving
  • Maintain transparent communication with the Director of Engineering & Chief Engineer, team members, and external stakeholders regarding project status and technical matters

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the same position or one level lower in a 5-star hotel or resort with 300+ rooms
  • Technical or Engineering background education
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency with computer systems and technical software
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety, HACCP, and emergency audit procedures

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • K3 certification
  • Experience managing large engineering teams (20+ staff)
  • Indonesian nationality is a must due to compliance with local regulation
