Why This Role MattersAssistant Center Directors at The Learning Experience are operational leaders — not glorified schedulers. You are the right hand to the Center Director and the go-to leader for teachers. This role blends people leadership, curriculum support, and day-to-day operations to ensure a high-quality experience for children, families, and staff.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Center Director with daily operations including staffing, scheduling, enrollment support, and classroom coverage
• Coach, mentor, and develop Lead Teachers to strengthen performance and retention
• Ensure strong, consistent implementation of the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® across classrooms
• Maintain compliance with NYS OCFS licensing, health, and safety requirements
• Partner with teachers to support positive family communication and engagement
• Step in to problem-solve staffing, classroom, or parent concerns quickly and professionally
• Help build a positive, accountable, team-first culture
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning center
• Proven leadership — you’ve supported or led teams, not just classrooms
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
• Organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable multitasking
• Confident communicator with both staff and families
• Meets New York State OCFS requirements for an Assistant Director role
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Preferred (Not Required)

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
