Assistant Business Office Manager

Job Type:

Compensation: $20 – $24 per hour

We are a leading provider in the long-term care industry, committed to improving the lives of the patients and communities we serve through high-quality care and exceptional service. We are seeking an Assistant Business Office Manager to support business office operations and ensure accurate billing, census management, and financial processes within the facility.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured healthcare environment and is interested in supporting both financial operations and resident-facing services.

Responsibilities

  • Support nursing center business office operations to achieve financial and census goals
  • Assist with billing, accounts receivable, and Medicaid application tracking
  • Help manage resident trust funds and maintain confidential financial records
  • Support collections processes and ensure accuracy of resident account balances
  • Work closely with centralized billing teams, leadership, families, and external agencies
  • Meet with patients/residents at admission and discharge to explain financial obligations
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to financial documentation
  • Assist the Business Office Manager and Revenue Cycle leadership as needed
  • Maintain organized financial records and support reporting requirements
  • Contribute to efficient and accurate revenue cycle processes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in long-term care billing and collections preferred
  • Additional coursework in accounting or finance recommended
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with families, staff, and external agencies
  • Experience with billing systems or financial software preferred
