We are seeking an Assistant Building Manager to support the day-to-day management of one or more urban assets within our London portfolio. Working closely with the Building Manager and wider Facilities Management team, you will help deliver best-in-class facilities services, ensure compliance, and contribute to an outstanding customer experience for our occupiers.

Key Responsibilities
Support a safety-first culture, assisting with health & safety, fire safety and statutory compliance across the building(s).
Assist the Building Manager with day-to-day operations, covering both hard and soft FM services.
Support the management of contractors, including reviewing RAMS, issuing permits to work and monitoring performance.
Help maintain site compliance records, including fire and water logbooks, inspections and audits.
Work closely with occupiers, providing a high-quality customer service and supporting fit-out projects in line with TCE processes.
Assist with financial management, including service charge and OPEX budgets, purchase orders, variance reporting and reconciliations.
Build strong relationships with service partners to ensure delivery in line with lease obligations and agreed KPIs.
Support planned and reactive maintenance, major works projects and liaising with surveyors, consultants and insurers as required.
Contribute to The Crown Estate’s ambition to deliver a net zero carbon estate by 2030, supporting building-level sustainability initiatives.
Support business continuity planning, emergency response and evacuation drills.
Deputise for the Building Manager or Facilities Manager during periods of absence, with senior support.
Previous experience within Facilities Management, property, or a related environment (minimum 2 years, or equivalent transferable experience).
Strong customer focus with the ability to build effective relationships with occupiers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
Good working knowledge of health & safety, compliance and operational risk.
Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Commercially aware with an eye for continuous improvement.
Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Supportive of change and keen to develop within a professional FM environment.
A-levels or equivalent.
IOSH Managing Safely.
IWFM Level 3 (or equivalent).
Working towards Associate RICS or MIWFM.
