Assistant Brand Manager

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings, PLC.

The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Assistant Brand Manager. The position exists to work closely with Marketing Manager Beverages, assist in planning & implementing marketing strategies / activities to ensure company targets are met & market demands are properly identified and catered on time in full.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist to initiate new product development; take the product development process from production brief to packaging, designing, communication planning to implementation.
• Assist, analyse & coordinate with relevant social and digital media agencies and implement the most appropriate media plans and content strategies for the brand keeping in line with the brand objectives & category growth plans on a monthly basis.
• Assist to develop brand communication plan keeping in line with the brand strategies & category objectives. Brief agency on communication requirements and manage process until final launch and post launch evaluation.
• Assist to execute channel marketing programs through managing product availability, visibility, and merchandising to improve the allocated channel's profitability & contribution.
• Assist to conduct market research on a monthly basis to plan & re-align brand strategies accordingly and to develop cosumer understanding to ensure brand strategies are in place to cater to the changing needs & wants of the consumers.

Person Specifications

• Degree in Marketing / Management or equivalent with 2-3 years' experience in FMCG marketing, brand management, or Consumer Research.
• Proven knowledge and experience in brands / Digital / Social media marketing will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on evaluating consumer & market research to formulate brand strategies.
• Sound business understanding to implement brand strategies and understanding of sales and distribution processes and consumer behaviours.
