Assistant Branch Manager
Middlesex Federal Savings, F.A.
Davis Square, Somerville
Full-time, onsite position
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:15 pm and alternating Saturdays 8:15 am to 12:15 pm
Salary range $25 - $30/per hour, commensurate with experience; OT and bonus eligible
At Middlesex Federal Savings, a federally chartered community bank in Davis Square, customers are often known by name. That's the kind of bank this is. Three branches, 130-plus years in Somerville, and a fintech side that serves deposit and prepaid/debit card customers beyond the traditional branch footprint. We're looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to help run it. You'll coach a team, drive business development, and take the lead when the Branch Manager is away.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll help plan, direct, and control branch operations so they run efficiently and stay in line with established policy. You'll build a positive, motivating team environment that meets branch goals and delivers a consistent, superior customer experience.
You'll also drive growth by developing relationships inside and outside the branch. That means deepening existing relationships through needs-based conversations and referrals, and building new ones through community involvement, local networking, and outbound calling. You'll lead by example, coaching staff to take part in business development and building a sales culture that hits branch targets. You'll champion digital banking too, helping customers connect with the tools that fit their needs. Digital complements the branch rather than replacing it. The branch is where customers get onboarded to digital channels, work through complex needs, and get the personal touch that builds loyalty.
