Assistant Branch Manager

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic, sales-driven Branch Manager to lead a high-visibility retail banking branch and drive growth through team development, member engagement, and community outreach. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coaching and developing employees, and has a passion for building relationships and growing business results.

As the Branch Manager, you will oversee daily branch operations, lead a team focused on exceptional member service, and play a key role in achieving branch goals related to lending, deposit growth, and membership expansion. This flagship location is one of the organization's busiest branches and offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Two Saturdays per month: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Flexible weekday schedule adjustments when working Saturdays
  • Leadership rotation with branch leadership partners

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop branch employees to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.
  • Drive branch performance through lending growth, deposit growth, and membership acquisition initiatives.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, observations, and performance reviews.
  • Manage branch operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow to ensure a seamless member experience.
  • Build strong relationships with current members through proactive outreach and follow-up activities.
  • Handle escalated member concerns and guide staff through complex member interactions.
  • Partner with internal departments to improve service delivery and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Represent the branch within the community through networking events, business development activities, and community outreach efforts.
  • Monitor branch performance metrics and implement action plans to achieve established goals.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of leadership, branch management, banking, credit union, or related financial services experience.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees.
  • Strong sales and relationship-building mindset with a track record of achieving goals.
  • Experience reviewing and processing lending opportunities.
  • Knowledge of consumer banking, lending, financial products, and member services.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable licensing, registration, and certification requirements.

This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
