Company: Green Valley Landfill Limited

Green Valley Landfill Limited (GVL), a joint venture with Veolia Hong Kong & Macau, manages the South East New Territories (SENT) Landfill and its extension. GVL focuses on sustainable waste management, converting landfill gas into electricity, fuel, and synthetic natural gas.

Location: Tseung Kwan O

• Coordinates leachate processing activities and manages 24/7 shift assignments for treatment operations
• Oversees operation of filtering systems, biological treatment units, and coagulating/settling basins
• Establishes emergency response procedures for equipment failures and power outages
• Leads engineering and technical teams in maintenance projects and service delivery
• Develops equipment specifications and modification plans to enhance operational efficiency
• Manages technician schedules while implementing preventative maintenance programs and monitoring performance data
• Other ad hoc projects as assigned by the management

Qualifications

• Degree holder in E&M / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Holder of REW Grade B / H or above
• Holder of Green Card, Driving license (1, 2) and other qualifications relative to industrial field are preferred

Additional Information

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or E&M project site work and progress monitoring, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence with strong documentation skills
• Proven leadership skills in managing teams and subcontractors to conduct various maintenance tasks
• Strong project management capabilities with excellent interpersonal skills
• Independent, self-motivated, and results-oriented with ability to work autonomously
