Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • To plan and carryout duties inrelatedto Billing, Cashiering, and Insurance / MCO in providing excellent quality management and continuous improvement and development in line with hospitalobjectives

Billing Functions

  • Responsible to enter / update all charges relating to patient’s treatment.
  • Responsible to check with wards / other services and to ensure that all charges have been properly taken up before patient is discharged.
  • Responsible to check andensuringthat billing is done accurately before finalization of billandthe Consultant Fees charged as stipulated as 13th Schedule.
  • Responsible to attend to patient’s queryregardingthe bill,chargesand payments.
  • Responsible to reconfirm all Guarantee Letters, validity period, coverage limit with MCO Unit and insurance companies before releasing patient for discharge.
  • To ensurepatients areproperly discharged in K-CIS once bill isfinalized
  • Responsible to contributeinensuring qualityobjectiveof the Unit is met.

Cashier Functions

  • Responsible to generatepatient’sbill.
  • Responsiblefor collectingallpayments andissueofficial receipts for all transactions.
  • Responsiblefor arrangingthe agreement of deferred payment after approval from authorized personnel
  • Toensureall the required documents are obtained and in order.
  • To ensure allpaymentreceivedisimmediatelyallocated
  • To ensure cash and credit card refund isin accordancewithCashManagement Policy.
  • Immediate issue Credit Note and Debit Note for any excess uncovered items fromcorporateclients.
  • Responsiblefor generatingDetail CloseTillReport from HITS andensuringown collection tally with the report.
  • Responsible for the safety ofowncollection.
  • Responsibleforensuringthe daily cash dropis carried outand recordedin accordance withKPJpolicy.

OSH Act & Regulations 1994

  • Responsible and accountablefor carryingout duties as employee stipulated in OSH Act & Regulations 1994.
  • To take reasonable to carry at work for the safety of yourself and otherpeople
  • To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty.
  • Towearor use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer.
  • Tocomply withanyinstructionandmeasureon occupational safety and health.

Patient Safety Goal

  • Ensure complianceofPatient Safety Goals as safety improvement measures as recommended byWorldAlliance for Patient Safety.
  • Ensure the policies on Patient and Family’s Rights arealways addressed

Integrated Management System

  • Participates actively and encourages compliance to all policies and Procedures of ISO 9001:2015, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 37001: 2016, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards and PSG.

PDPA Act 2010

  • To review and adopt internal personal data protection policies and practices tocomply withthe PDPA Act 2010.

Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced

  • Ensure produce betterresultand Continual Improvement indeliverservice to customers.

To perform anyotherduties as and when required by the management

  • Produceoutcomewithin theexpectationof theshareholderand customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum: Qualification of SPM.
  • 3years’ experienceinrelated fields.
  • Good interpersonal,pleasant appearance,good written andcommunication skillas well asfluent in both spoken and writtenBahasa,Englishand Mandarin.
  • IT literatewith knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to work extrahoursi.e.after office hours, on weekends and public holidays (wheneverrequired). ​
  • Preferred: Diploma fromrecognizeduniversity.
  • Good interpersonal,pleasant appearance,good writtencommunication skillas well asfluent in both spoken and writtenin Bahasa andEnglish.

Personal Characteristics:

  • Goodcommunicationandmanagementskills. Possess excellent decision-making, strategic thinking, leadership, interpersonal and ethical conduct skills.
