GENERALSTATEMENTOFTHEFUNCTION

TheAssistantBaseballCoachis responsible forhelping tobuild, recruit andmaintaina competitivewomen’sbasketballprogramon theRaymondCampusconsistent withall ofthe goals of Hinds Community College and the policies and procedures outlined in the Athletic Department Handbook

QUALIFICATIONSREQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAND/OREXPERIENCE

Education:Bachelor’srequired;Master’sdegree preferred

Experience: 1-2 years of competitive college coaching experience

Certificate/License: Familiar with MACCC and NJCAA governing rules

Maintainknowledgeofdiversity-relatedissues,legislation,andbestpractices.

  • Represent Hinds Community College and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.

  • Adheres to and enforces all policies and procedures of the department and the college, as well as the rules and regulations of the NJCAA and MACCC.

  • Assistwith all aspects of thebaseballprogram; provides opportunities that challenge and support student-athletes to reach their full potential.

  • Assistwith the organization and administration of the baseballprogram, including but not limited to the following: recruiting, practice and game coaching, conditioning, academic monitoring, and public relations.

  • Assistthe head coach with recruiting plans andrecruiting ofpotentialstudent-athletesto the program.

  • Assistthe head coach in the scouting of opponents and in preparation of game and practice plans.

  • Assistinmonitoringallstrength and conditioning activities for theprogram

  • Monitor all academics forstudent-athletes

  • Perform otherappropriate dutiesas assigned by the HeadBaseballCoach and/or Director of Athletics thatrelatesto the success of the program.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Athletic Director
