KG Sports Bar is a brand new American sports bar located on the intersection of King George Square, built for big games, big moments and a full-room atmosphere.

The venue brings together large screen walls, premium sound, cold beer and classic American bar food in a high-energy environment designed around live sport.

From NRL and AFL through to UFC, NFL, NBA and NHL, KG Sports Bar delivers a big game atmosphere from siren to siren, with a strong event calendar where timing, teamwork and consistency matter.

We are seeking energetic leaders to join the opening team at KG Sports Bar as our new Assistant Bar Manager & Bar Supervisor. This is a role focused on delivering big game day experiences – every day. Ensuring the team deliver a high standard of service across the venue & your background in a similar role will allow you to excel & enjoy every shift to create a venue that thrives.

What is the role all about -

• Build, lead and develop the team
• Oversee the operations of KG Sports Bar & ensure that the service is in line with outlined standards
• Closely monitor & maintain productivity across the venue
• Plan & activate work patterns to achieve service standards
• Work collaboratively to ensure seasonal & focused activations are executed to ensure revenue expectations are achieved.
• Build a working environment that is fun, purpose driven, professional & productive.
• HIGA Award rates are applicable for both positions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in a similar role
• Superior people management abilities
• Advanced knowledge of beer, wine & spirits,
• Operational experience with Shiji, Ready Workforce & QR code ordering system
• A drive to succeed
• Strong time management skills & highly attuned organisational skills
• Flexible & focused, with an understanding of all a busy bar operation
• A genuine passion and motivation for the hospitality industry.
• All round interest & understanding of local & international sports
• A valid RSA & RMLV (Assistant Bar Manager) certification
