The Assistant Banquet Manager is concerned with the strategic management of the Banquet, in line with prescribed Hilton International policies and procedures.

What will I be doing?


As the Assistant Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Operational Leadership & Service Excellence

  • Oversee daily banquet operations and lead from the front during peak events to ensure flawless execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office teams to execute seamless event handovers and logistics.
  • Address guest feedback proactively, implement service enhancements, and maintain strict adherence to workplace safety and hygiene standards.

Team Management & Talent Development

  • Prepare team schedules, assign daily duties, and forecast manpower requirements to align with event volumes and hotel occupancy.
  • Conduct department orientation, perform skill assessments against Hilton standards, and lead continuous training for ongoing team growth.
  • Support selection interviews, conduct annual performance appraisals, and foster a collaborative, high-energy environment.

Driving Commercial Performance

  • Cultivate an environment where "everyone sells," identifying potential sales leads and promoting hotel services and packages.
  • Support the Banquet Manager with revenue forecasting, cost controls, and departmental budget alignment.
  • Lead shift briefings and team meetings to align operational targets with overall property and brand goals.

• 2-4 years in a managerial position in a 4 / 5-star category hotel.
• Good English skills, both written and verbal to meet business needs.
• Familiar with computer systems.
• Motivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seize opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve personal performance.
• Flexible and responds quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.
• Maintain high team focus by showing cooperation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals.
• Strong leadership, people management and training skills.
• Guest oriented and able to confidently build and exceed service standards.
• Thorough knowledge of service, cost control in F&B, labour controls, beverage menu writing, maintenance, merchandising, computer and accountings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to details.
• Key strengths in people management, communication and planning.
• Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
• Outgoing personality and willing to work for long hours.
