ASSISTANT AUDIT SENIOR
Our client, a well-established and respected local Firm of Chartered Accountants, is seeking an analytical and client focused Assistant Audit Senior to join their team. The Firm is dedicated to creating value through knowledge, information, and insight. With a strong Big Four heritage, the Firm has a wealth of experience in providing professional accounting services to clients of all sizes across the full industry spectrum.
The Role
The Assistant Audit Senior will report to Firm Partners/Audit Manager and will be responsible for:
• Planning, co-coordinating and efficient delivery of audit and non-audit services to the firm’s portfolio of clients.
• Planning and performing audits in accordance with firm standards and ISA.
• Documenting and referencing engagement work accurately.
• Preparing draft communications (financial statements, management letters, etc.) for partner/manager review.
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff, providing constructive feedback.
• Preparing engagement budgets and report variances to partners.
• Assisting with technical accounting and audit research.
• Delivering training sessions to junior staff as required.
The Candidate
The Assistant Audit Senior will:
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a minimum of 2–3 years of progressive audit experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Be currently pursuing an accounting designation.
• Possess sound understanding of GAAP, IFRS Accounting Standards, IFRS for SMEs, and relevant legislation.
• Be familiar with International Standards on Auditing and International Standards on Quality Management.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Be committed to ongoing professional development through firm-sponsored training seminars and sessions.
