The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) seeks a full-time, twelve month, non-tenure track faculty position. UMES is located in rural Maryland and is one of America’s most beautiful campuses. The School of Pharmacy is dedicated to developing exemplary pharmacy professionals and scholars who
are committed to patient-centered care, lifelong learning, discovery, and service for diverse communities of the Delmarva Peninsula, the State of Maryland, and around the world. Faculty are dedicated and promote a positive work environment. The practice site is in Salisbury, Maryland.
Salary: $116,500 - $135,960

Responsibilities:
• Provide didactic and experiential education in pharmacy practice,
specifically in acute care and related subjects.
• Participate in direct patient care.
• Develop/maintain a practice which supports interactions with other health
professionals.
• Develop/revise course(s) to meet and exceed accreditation standards.
• Cooperate and coordinate with others in team-taught courses.
• Develop and commit to scholarly activity.
• Serve on School and University committees.
• Participate in regional and/or national professional organizations along
with peers and students. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
• Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Completion of a post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency or at least three
(3) years of comparable clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational
skills.
• A team approach to patient care.
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence, student engagement, research
collaboration, and service.
Physical Demands:
• May require extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, sitting at
desk.
• May require lifting.
• Requires communication with a variety of constituents externally and
internally.
• Requires operation of a variety of office equipment.
Preferences:
• Experience in didactic and experiential teaching.
• Completion of a post-graduate year two (PGY2) in a related specialty.
• Board certification in a related specialty.
Licenses/ Certifications:
• Current Maryland pharmacy license or eligibility for Maryland licensure
