About Deals

Our Deals Services team is a leading provider of Corporate Finance, M&A advisory, and Capital Raising services in Greece. We support high-profile transactions across a wide range of industries, delivering strategic advice and hands-on execution at every stage of the deal process. Our experienced professionals work with a diverse client base — including large Greek and multinational corporations, SMEs, private equity funds, banks, and institutional investors — helping them unlock value and achieve their strategic objectives.


The role in more detail:

As a Valuations & Financial Modelling Assistant / Associate Advisor, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, providing financial advisory services for M&A transactions and valuation services for reporting, compliance and other advisory purposes. Collaborating with a diverse team of experts, you will offer critical insights and support to clients across various industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior finance professional to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As part of the Deals – Valuations & Financial Modelling team, your role will involve conducting in-depth financial analysis and market research, developing sophisticated financial models, utilizing various valuation techniques, and preparing detailed presentations. You will gain exposure to a comprehensive suite of valuation services, participating in valuation engagements for M&As, intangible assets, and other financial assets, as well as in financial model compilation and review. Additionally, you will have the chance to enhance your skills through continuous learning and professional development, positioning yourself for growth and advancement in your career.

🏆 Grant Thornton Greece Deal’s Valuations is one of six Grant Thornton firms globally to host the Center of Excellence, offering a unique framework for delivering an entire suite of valuation services.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and building 3-statement financial models.

  • Applying various valuation methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flows (DCF), Comparable Companies’ Multiples, and Comparable Transactions.

  • Analyzing historical financial statements to understand trends and key drivers.

  • Utilizing various financial databases to gain critical insights into capital markets.

  • Conducting industry and market research to gather relevant data and assess business viability and growth potential.

  • Preparing detailed valuation reports and presentations.

The key requirements of this role are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or Economics with an excellent academic record.

  • Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications (CFA) in any of the above-mentioned disciplines will be considered a strong asset.

  • Familiarity and a solid understanding of basic accounting concepts and valuation techniques.

  • Experience using CapitalIQ and Bloomberg databases will be highly regarded.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • A genuine passion for finance.

  • Problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills.

  • Up to 2 years (Assistant) or +2 years (Associate) of relevant professional experience, preferably in valuations/financial modelling within an audit/consulting firm.

  • Fluency in Greek and English, both orally and verbally.

  • Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable).
