Job Description

Job Location First Step - Bridgeport, CT 06610

In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Program director, the administrative assistant will collaborate with the management team to assist with organizing, managing and supporting operational task through clerical work. Assist with tasks such as communication and scheduling, documentation of medical records managing insurance authorization, and general office support to ensure smooth and efficient work environment in accordance with RNP mission, policy standards.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

  • Maintaining organizing and processing supply orders
  • Maintaining and organizing files both physical and digital
  • Assist with entering data and reporting requirements in accordance with DHMAS and other governing bodies ( DDaP, insurance authorizations )
  • Maintaining spread sheets to track data
  • Communication and customer service – Answering / directing calls, welcoming visitors
  • Scheduling and coordination – Staff scheduling, scheduling events/ meetings (recording of meeting minutes )
  • Other duties deemed necessary per need of the program

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (word, excel, power point, outlook)

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize based on needs of the program

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or General education degree (GED)
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with working in an office environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the working conditions are good with little or no exposure to extremes in health, safety hazards and/or hazardous materials. This person must have the ability to travel as required to work with staff.
