As Assistant Accountant you will deliver critical financial and administrative support to the Refractories Finance Manager, enabling the division to maintain accurate financial reporting, drive efficient project delivery, and enhance operational effectiveness. You will work collaboratively across the Refractories team and wider business to provide timely financial information that supports sound decision-making.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based on-site at our office in Henderson 6166 WA.

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Maintain the Asset and Leasing registers, process CapEx requests, and finalise asset transfers and disposals.
Prepare labour costings, schedule of rates and timely financial reports
Assist with Month End closing and process journal entries
Supporting tender submissions and audit queries
Create customer profiles, manage credit limits, and chase debtors for outstanding payments
Assist with project invoicing and data reconciliation
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Studying towards CPA qualification
At least 1 year’s experience in a similar role
Intermediate to advanced excel or google sheets knowledge
Ability to work independently or collaboratively
Willingness to learn, sound time management and organisational skills
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
