Job Description

In this role, you'll:

Be working as part of the Accounting Operations team where you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely financial accounting services by assisting with general ledger reconciliations, journal processing, and month-end activities.

This role will see you prepare general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with financial policies and standards and assist with the preparation and processing of journals.

You will support the coordination of month-end activities, including monitoring the closing cockpit, to meet reporting deadlines. You will also contribute to audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to queries, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

The team hub for this role will be located in Burwood and there will be the expectation that the successful candidate will be able to commit to our 50% workplace presence requirements.

About you

You are an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant who has qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline and membership with either CPA or CA.

You will have experience coordinate multiple financial processes and deliverables within strict reporting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality. You will also have experience supporting capability uplift within a team, with varying levels of financial and technical expertise.

You will have exceptional communications skills and have the ability to build credibility and influence with senior stakeholders who have competing expectations and priorities.
