
About the Opportunity
The Assistant Director of Student Engagement, Enrollment Management, and Retention works with the Director and other colleagues to encourage and support undergraduate student enrollment, engagement, and retention in the College of Engineering. Working with the Director, the Assistant Director holds primary responsibility for the management, planning, implementation, and ongoing operations of the College of Engineering Tutoring Center, including: the first-year tutoring schedule; upper-class tutoring schedule; Chemistry Review and Physics Review Sessions; the hiring, training, and managing the team of Tutors and Scheduling Coordinators/Front Desk team; as well as ongoing reporting and assessments of Tutoring Center services; and updating of Tutoring Center website.
Working in close collaboration with the Director, the Assistant Director implements the first-year survey and works effectively with the Director and others involved in the delivery of COE curriculum to assess teaching quality and student experience and identify impediments to academic progress and areas of opportunity for improvements. The Assistant Director tracks data on department efforts, preparing reports as needed.
The Assistant Director works with the Director on all connected elements of undergraduate student enrollment, engagement, and retention efforts, such as providing logistical and operational support for events and activities, taking on an active role as needed. The Assistant Director supports prospective student engagement and enrollment efforts through overseeing the COE Ambassadors program, including recruiting, hiring, training, and creating events’ student staffing schedules. Collaborates with Director on the planning and implementation of enrollment events and activities, including co-presenting as needed and representing the college among attendees, and providing support for ongoing and new enrollment and engagement events and programs. With the Director, the Assistant Director supports the COE Student Activities Council (SAC) including managing key events, securing campus locations, facilitating catering and purchases in support of current student engagement and development. This position reports directly to the Director of Student Engagement, Enrollment Management, and Retention in the College of Engineering.

Expected Hiring Range:
$60,315.00 - $85,192.50
