Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.

YOUR IMPACT

The Private Wealth Management Custody Uplift Operations Team is seeking a Vice President to play a senior leadership role in driving a front-to-back overhaul of the PWM custody platform, subledger, and user interfaces. Specifically, you will own and lead core requirements building, testing, execution and validation on workflows being migrated, serving as a key point of accountability in collaboration with Engineering, Product, and functional Operations stakeholders. From asset transfer browsers and cash management to data feeds, you will define and deliver system enhancements at scale to improve quality of life for both Operations and client-facing teams. Additionally, you will oversee and provide governance for data reconciliation efforts within existing subledgers and ensure minimal discrepancies upon migration to upgraded recordkeeping and database infrastructure.

For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.



The Operational Transformation team is focused on aligning all aspects of PWM custody to more scalable, flexible, and functional platforms. With substantially growing client volumes, the team endeavors to deliver robust solutions to accommodate increasingly complex client needs. The team is critical to maintaining collaboration, relationships, and execution amongst all stakeholders to ensure a better platform for all.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  1. Gain and maintain a deep, end‑to‑end understanding of the existing PWM custody infrastructure, including ledgers, subledgers, user interfaces, workflows, controls, and operational pain points.
  2. Lead and provide senior ownership within the agile delivery process by aligning on the direction and priorities with the product development team (writing user stories, providing direction during grooming calls, testing acceptance criteria, and supporting key agile ceremonies).
  3. Partner with design and Engineering to develop scalable, resilient, and user-centric experiences for internal end-users, balancing strategic objectives with execution realities.
  4. Provide oversight and direction for data analysis efforts, including exploratory data analysis, while adherence to best practices for experimentation, documentation, and controls.
  5. Own accountability for data integrity pre‑ and post‑migration across relevant workflows, ensuring issues are identified, escalated, and resolved appropriately.
  6. Track, manage, and communicate progress across multiple workstreams, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and delivery impacts, while ensuring adherence to the solution delivery lifecycle.
  7. Collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to share best practices, mentor junior team members, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE FOR WHICH WE’RE LOOKING

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. 6-10 years of work experience in the Financial Services sector, ideally with either product management experience in an agile product development environment, or in an Operational role focused on enhancing processes
  3. Proven experience owning user acceptance testing and migration activities, including test strategy, data setup, execution, defect management, and final sign‑off across multiple environments
  4. Excellent writing and communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  5. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize differing requirements
  6. Strong attention to detail; strong logical thinker
  7. Fast learner and effective communicator of new / complex information
  8. Demonstrate a high degree of personal accountability and ownership mindset, consistently delivering outcomes on time and to a high standard of quality in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment
  9. Aptitude for logically breaking down complex problems and processes, documenting workflows and edge cases, and communicating solutions with clarity
  10. Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
  11. Confidence to challenge existing processes, influence senior stakeholders, and drive innovation across organizational boundaries
  12. Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships with strong culture awareness
