Job Description

The Asset Servicing Manager Vice President – Voluntary Corporate Actions is a key operational leadership role responsible for directing the end-to-end lifecycle, execution, and risk management of voluntary asset servicing events. This position requires advanced technical expertise in voluntary corporate action mechanics (such as tender offers, rights subscriptions, exchange offers, and consent solicitations), exceptional analytical capabilities, and proven leadership in optimizing operational workflows.

The candidate will lead a high-performing team tasked with position verification, election capture, transaction processing, entitlement distribution, and exception resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Operational Execution: Lead and mentor a specialized team managing the end-to-end validation, election capture, and execution of voluntary corporate action events across global markets.
  • Client Election Management: Ensure prompt, precise execution and submission of client instructions to depositories and agents within strict market cutoff windows, proactively identifying and mitigating processing risks.
  • Event Lifecycle & Settlement Oversight: Direct position validation, instruction tracking, entitlement calculations, and payment facilitation for voluntary corporate action events, ensuring strict alignment with internal controls.
  • Client Inquiry & Exception Management: Set and maintain strong service-level standards by overseeing the investigation and timely resolution of complex discrepancies, corporate action queries, and market-driven exceptions.
  • Root-Cause Analysis & Process Improvement: Conduct in-depth diagnostic assessments of operational workflows and complex issues to design, implement, and institutionalize scalable straight-through processing (STP) enhancements.
  • People Development: Provide continuous mentorship, coaching, and targeted skill development to build team subject-matter depth, bench strength, and operational resilience.
  • Governance & Management Reporting: Transparently escalate, track, and report key risk indicators, control metrics, and operational incidents to senior management and governance committees.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including custody operations, product, client service teams, and industry working groups.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Sponsor and drive operational transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing straight-through processing rates, reducing manual intervention, and elevating the client experience.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5–10 years of progressive operations experience in financial services, with substantial domain expertise in asset servicing and voluntary corporate actions.
  • Leadership Track Record: Proven experience leading, developing, and inspiring operational teams in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
  • Technical & Market Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of event workflows, cash and security movements, accounting principles, market deadlines, and operational risk controls.
  • Problem Solving & Decision-Making: Exceptional analytical acumen with a track record of resolving complex operational bottlenecks under tight market constraints.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Systems & Technology: Proficiency in enterprise asset servicing platforms, market utilities (e.g., DTCC/CDS), and MS Office Suite.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; Master's degree preferred.
