Asset Protection Officer

  • Temporary full-time position until 28 February 2026
  • Band 5 position plus 12% superannuation
  • Monthly RDO available

The Opportunity

A temporary full-time opportunity to issue asset protection, vehicle crossing and other technical permits, and subsequently undertake follow up inspections in line with Council’s Road Management Plan (RMP) and Vehicle Crossings Policy (VCP).

Responsibilities

  • Issuing asset protection, vehicle crossing and other technical permits in line with Council’s RMP and VCP
  • Proactive and reactive inspection ensuring completion and compliance in line with Council’s RMP and VCP
  • Liaise with contractors and the public to provide guidance on RMP and VCP requirements.
  • Use, maintain and update IntraMaps, Confirm, Oracle, TRIM and other corporate applications
  • Provide specialist advice to clients and advise on Council’s RMP and VCP and guidelines

Skills & Experience

  • Formal qualification in Civil/Building Engineering or Project Management and/or relevant experience in Civil Construction or wider Construction Works
  • Experience or understanding in supervising contractors and administering contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications and a broader knowledge of engineering and construction practices
  • Great interpersonal skills and aptitude in applying computer applications to work duties
